a girl's heart desire

Sometimes,
I want to open my hijab,
and show the world,
that I too,
am beautiful in the people's definition.
But,
deep down here,
in my little heart,
I know that beauty is by definition,
a mystery.
and it is forever more rewarding,
to be beautiful in God's eyes.
Sometimes,
I want to wear ruffled dresses and tight jeans,
show off what I really look like,
under those baggy shirts and loosely fitted pants,
make a statement,
that I too,
have a figure and worth looking at.
But,
I know better,
to avoid entering the world of men's imagination,
for I love my future husband,
and I am ashamed,
what should be his, has already been unveiled by others.
Sometimes,
I want to show the world,
the other side of me,
the bubblier, bolder, and crazier me.
put myself on display,
for everyone to see,
to be desired, and admired upon.
But,
I know that eyes are not just eyes,
seeing is not just seeing,
image and respect are gained,
shame and humility deserve a better place,
Because in the end,
it is not just about me,
I carry a lot of impressions and expectations,
of what a Muslim girl should be,
I am covered by the word "Islam" the moment I walk out of my door,
So don't be selfish girl,
Can't you put behind your heart's desire for something worth fighting for?
Love is all it takes.

kahwin perdana - 101 couples..swEEt :)

this wonderful plus fascinating event was held on 25 December 2010 at PUTIK (Pusat Tarbiah Islam Kelantan). this event involved 101 married couples and it such a blessing event.

when i get there with my sis, colleague with the company's van, the akad nikah was done..we merely get to watch the couples snap pictures together.

surprisingly, there are a lucky draw was held. then again, the prizes were so meaningful especially for those ten couples who got to go honeymoon to Beijing, China..its all sponsored !!! so lucky..i wish i could go there too..haha

apart from that, part of the couples got the free boucer to go to honeymoon in the countryside..they were so excited about this though..hehe

events of traditional games

these kinds of events are performed every year in Kelantan from the beginning of February until the end of October in order to make sure that these traditional games will never lose in people memories and besides lots of tourists enjoy watching it particularly foreigners.

here, i wanna share the schedule of the traditional games that will be held at cultural centre or Gelanggang S eni, Kota Bharu in 2011.

there are 11 traditional games all together. they are ;

Rebana Ubi --- saturday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Gasing Uri ---- saturday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Gasing Pangkah ---- wednesday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Kertok Kelapa ----- wednesday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Kertok Campuran ---- wednesday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Pencak Silat ---- wednesday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Seni Silat Tari Kelantan ---- monday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Demonstrasi Membuat Wau (Kite Making)---- monday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Congkak ---- monday, 3.30 - 5.30 pm

Wayang Kulit ( Shadow Puppet Play) ----- wednesday, 9.00- 12.00 pm

Tarian Tradisional/Okestra Simfoni ----- saturday, 9 -12 pm (depends on vacancy)

do come and watch this spectacular shows that revealed the uniqueness of the traditional games of Kelantan :)

my practical involvement

assalamualaikum :)

Before i join the TIC organization (Kelantan Tourist Information Centre), i don't even know much and never went to any events related to the Kelantanese traditional games or activities even i am a kelantanese, huhu..maybe its due to my parents do not expose much about that to me and it seems not essential at all to them..

btw, here are some events that i have joined..its really enjoyable indeed.. :)

the first one is shadow puppet show or it is called 'wayang kulit'.

it was held at the cultural centre in Kota Bharu, just around the corner of TIC office. it was started around 9pm and ended at 12pm.

the photos are not really clear though :(

wayang kulit is one of the unique and indigenous theatre shows which use shadow and light base to express the stories. the casting is made up from the carving of buffalo skin and attached to bamboos. and when it is put behind the white fabric and under a lamp as a source og light, the shadow will be display on fabric skin.

the stories of "wayang kulit" are normally based on the classic tale and have moral value that can be followed by all walks of life. it might use the traditional languages and melody based on the stories. it includes the stories from India classic poem " the Mahabhrata " and "Ramayana" which are very famous.

this play which has been generated from one generation to generation is normally performed at night during gatherings and fairs. the puppeteer, called "Tok Dalang" is the main performer who manipulates the "Wayang Kulit" puppets while narrating the story.

we can get so much fun enjoying this wayang kulit shows as it serves us the best historical stories besides humouring us.

there will be shadow puppet shows at cultural centre in Kota Bharu starting the beginning of February.

come and bring all of your family members and friends to watch this spectacular shows and also to bring up the name of wayang kulit so that it never lose in our memories.

where it can make us strong to face the world

Tie in Life

Humble...
being humble person is good
because that attitude is being praise and like
by all walks of life

Unlike many other creatures..
the feeling of being hate
could merely breed more hatred in a person
Ultimately...
would destroy the heart

Because in so many moments
the moments of being concerned
were the most precious things

sight seeing at kb mall with my junior :)

after i have finished my work at 3.30 on Thursday, i went to KB mall by walking with my junior,wawa. it is quite far from my practical place but it is fun walking while chatting with her. she is my junior at kpm.whenever she has problem about study,friends or anything, she'll come to me and i'll try to solve it and she is really nice to me. and i'll try to treat her better :)

we went to have a lunch because i was soooo hungry. nasi sup tulang there is quite nice but I'm not goin to eat it again,hehe..and then we walking around kb mall. we went to bookstore to look for books and wawa wanted to buy sticker for her new diary. i'm just looking at all those books coz i dun have any budget to buy new books... :( but, i'm not finish read eclipse yet, so it is ok..hehe.

after that, we come across with CD shop. its been a long time that i want to give maher zain cd as a present for my mother. she can listen to his beautiful songs in her car and i hope she'll like it all those songs. hehe :)

then, at 5.30...we went home..wawa followed me home to get to know my rent room. at 8pm, before her brother pick her up, we went to roti canai restaurant to immerse ourselves with the tasty of roti canai..unfortunately, her brother rushing so we did not manage to eat it together. i tapau it and eat in my room with my roommate. however, it is not as delicious as the people said..not quite delicious..huhu..

being used to be a government civil servant :)

its been a week that i have been used to walk across three buildings and cross two busy streets to get to my industrial training place which is Kelantan Tourist Information Centre which located near the roundabout of big watch and state museum, more specific in Sultan Ibrahim street. it took around five minutes walking from my rent room to there and i'm a bit afraid of crossing the streets because the streets are very busy like bees especially when i go and back from my work.

at first, i feel really nervous to work there because i think i'm not ready to face the working world like adapting with the organization, their employees, the relationships between collegues and boss and so much more. however, after a week working there..i think i can adapt to it very well because all the employees are really nice and warmth with the new interns at their organization.

there are six interns or practical students for the time being including me at TIC who are from UITM Dungun, Izham n Ikhwan and from Politeknik Merlimau Melaka, Sue Tomey. three of them are the diploma students which taking diploma in tourism management. whereas, me,mek miza n kak fatin are from the same college. we can get used to each other very well and working together as a team. we do everything that we can do to assist the organization activity and studying simultaneously.

now, i'm working on map of kota bharu, interesting places in kelantan and any attractiveness of kelantan like traditional games, foods, and so much more. i also make the directions to go to some interesting places like genting highland, perhentian island and thailand using different kind of vehicles. it is easy when i'm going to entertain foreign tourists by using the directions that i've made. it is a very good experience for me to talk and entertain the foreign tourists. but, i'm not talk much, i merely add a bit..hehe..i'm just admire with che lan because he can interact and communicate very well with the foreign tourists from Europe, German, Australian, France and so much more. besides, he is a great cooker..his name is stated in the Malaysia Toursit Guided book.
